I found a smooth, rosy and crisp new wine last night – Toad Hollow Winery’s Eye of the Toad – yep, it’s a funny name – but a great wine to sip on the lanai while watching the sunset, with B-B-Q, sushi or just some pupus. Toad Hollow has large variety of wines, even more fascinating are the wine names and labels. Their sparkling wine is called Amplexis, a lovely sparkling brunch wine named Risque with a can-can dancer, a red wine blend is Erik the Red with a toad Viking on the label. Toad Hollow has a tasting room in Healdsburg, CA and you can taste all their wines without charge. If you stop by Toad Hollow say “Hi” to Debbie from Di at Napili Kai. You can also have a glass of Toad’s Chard at the Sea House on Napili Bay.
