Chef Craig Erickson and the Sea House Restaurant crew will be participating again at Lahaina Plantation Days on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20. The event is a fundraiser for the Lahaina Restoration Foundation.

Stop by our booth and enjoy a unique Molokai Sweet Potato Quesadilla (spinach tortilla filled with spinach, Maui onion jam, sweet peppers, cilantro, sweet potato and cheese) or a couple of delicious Ahi Poke Shooters (diced Ahi, tomato, ogo, and sweet onion tossed in Thai vinaigrette and served in mini cucumber cups).

Imagine sitting down at for sunset dining at the Sea House Restaurant on beautiful Napili Bay.

Sesame Seared Ahi
Blackened Ahi tuna, baby arugula, crispy sweet potato, wasabi cream and sriracha aioli

followed by a crisp
Da Kine Caesar
Whole baby romaine, balsamic-pomegranate syrup, sun-dried tomato vinaigrette and creamy Caesar dressing finished with a Parmesan cracker,

Then have a delicious
Kai Trio
Seared sea scallops, sugar cane skewered shrimp, fire grilled fresh catch, jasmine rice, spinach, lemon cream and lilikoi syrup

and top off dinner with a
Banana Split Cheesecake
House-made macadamia cocoa crust, fresh bananas, New York style cream cheese filling, strawberry compote, crushed pineapple, chocolate fudge and whipped cream

If you’ve never had an Opakapaka Lollipop it means you didn’t stop by the Sea House Restaurant’s booth at the Kapalua Wine and Seafood Festival.

Executive Chef Craig Erickson’s creation was a huge hit coming in second for Best of the Fest. The Sea House also served Mediterranean Marlin Crostini which was also favored by many attendees. It was another beautiful Maui evening.

Chef Craig Erickson will be making a guest appearance on Hawaii Sunrise Now on Wednesday, May 18. Catch a live stream of the show from 4:30 – 9:00 a.m. HST. Chef will be demonstrating his recipe for Pineapple Rice Cake with Mango Frosting which is featured in Cheryl Chee Tsutsumi’s book “The Hawaii Book of Rice“.

Guess last year’s “Best-Kept Secret” got out. The Sea House Restaurant has been awarded Maui No Ka ‘Oi Magazine’s 2011 ‘Aipono Gold Award for Best Breakfast. A favorite of many visitors to the Sea House Restaurant is Chef Craig Erickson’s Molokai Sweet Potato Egg Frittata. A combination of whipped eggs layered with spinach, caramelized Maui onions, Upcountry tomatoes, cheese, Molokai sweet potatoes, spiced Hollandaise and vegetable ragout – doesn’t that just make your mouth water with anticipation? Chef Craig uses fresh local farm to table ingredients for many of his unique dishes.
